Todd Hollis began the Messiah project in order to make the world a better place

Todd Hollis began the Messiah project in order to make the world a better place. But this was an idea that he had been working towards for years.

After graduating from Duquesne University Law Program, Hollis began to offer representation to young adults who wouldn’t be able to afford his services otherwise. In exchange for his services, he asked the youngsters to pay it forward through volunteer services to the community. It’s not about making money; it’s about changing the world.

Hollis gets his inspiration from his mother Judith, who has been an inspiration to Hollis since his childhood. Although he was never particularly skilled in the field of academia, Judith inspired Hollis and kept him trying. In 2004, Hollis learned what it truly meant to pay it forward: he had the chance to give his mother a kidney.

Hollis greatly struggled in his adult life. After nearly failing out of high school, law school was definitely the last thing on his mind. But he kept trying, with the encouragement of his mother, and eventually graduated college with a finance degree. Hollis meant to take over Wall Street, but he found difficultly there as well. He went back to school, get his law degree and opened his own practice.

Just to show himself that he can push farther than any other, he recently competed in the 2005 Iron Man Competition. After training vigorously (and learning how to swim), Hollis’ total time was 16 hours, 17 minutes and 29 seconds.
